Pierre Castonguay talks about us and the Alla Tedesca concert on his blog

Last night at 7 :30, I went to listen to an excellent two and a half hour concert of early music:  Alla Tedesca by the Arion Baroque Orchestra directed by Mathieu Lussier, at the Saint-Sixte Church at 1895 Church Street (at the corner of Marcel-Laurin), in Saint-Laurent, following an invitation from Charles Rollet.

In the program, there were works by Johann Friedrich Fasch (1688-1758): Concerto in C major for bassoon, strings, and harpsichord, Concerto in C minor for bassoon, strings, and harpsichord, Quartet in G minor for 2 oboes, bassoon, and continuo.  There were also works by Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767): Quartet in D minor for 2 flutes, bassoon, and continuo, Concerto in F major for beak flute and bassoon, Concerto in E minor for flute, beak flute, string orchestra, and continuo.
