Commedia dell'arte: Arion and Harlequin finally meet!

With energy and enthusiasm, violinist Dmitry Sinkovsky and conductor Jaap ter Linden are firing up the stars of the Arion Baroque Orchestra on the 17, 18 and 19th of February!

Commedia dell'arte: inspired by theater!
These comical plays, born in the 15th century, always used the same stock characters to weave its narrative, characters that we still know and love: Harlequin, Pierrot, Colombine, Pantaloon, among others.

Fast-forward a few hundreds of years later: Arion Baroque Orchestra is getting inspired by the same characters to create a flamboyant concert!

Heinichen, Wassenaar, Vivaldi and Boccherini dive head first into the Italian carnaval world. During the concert, celebrate the energetic Harlequin and his humorous banter, the clownish Pierrot, the lovely Colombine and the comical Pantaloon, old miser continuously fooled by the others! A highly imaginative and colourful concert.

Commedia dell'arte will keep you on your toes!
