“I chose this programme with the intention of familiarizing the public with the music of Johann Friedrich Fasch, one of the most acclaimed baroque composers of his time. Telemann and Fasch both created bright and festive works that will light up the month of January,” explains Artistic Director Claire Guimond. “We have put together an original programme in which the bassoon, together with a variety of instruments, is featured in nearly every piece thereby enabling listeners to sample rich and varied combinations of sound,” adds Mathieu Lussier.
