Figurehead of early music in Canada, the talented flautist Claire Guimond is called upon to perform on both sides of the Atlantic.
Founding member of Arion Baroque Orchestra, Ms. Guimond has carried out its artistic direction for 30 years and has performed with the ensemble throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia. In addition to numerous recitals and concerts, she has recorded several programs for television and radio in Canada, Britain, Belgium, Ireland, and Mexico. She has played under such distinguished conductors as Ton Koopman, Andrew Parrott, Jordi Savall, Philippe Herreweghe, Barthold Kuijken, and Bruno Weil.
