Stéphanie Bozzini

Born in Montreal, Stéphanie Bozzini has been a member of the Quatuor Bozzini (Opus Prize, Discovery of the year 2000-2001, Quebec Music Council) since its beginnings, a young emerging group that regularly performs in Canada, the United States, and Europe.  Her curiosity and interest in all musical styles, from music played on period instruments to improvisational music, makes her a most versatile violist.

She plays with the baroque music groups Les Voix Baroques and the Arion Ensemble and is also a member of the Kore Ensemble of Montreal, a group dedicated to contemporary music.  She has played with, among others, the Tonhalle Orchestra of Zurich and the Winterthurer Stadtorchester and has performed numerous times with different chamber music groups at the Centre d'arts de Banff, the Tonhalle of Zurich, the Bic Islands Festival, as well as with chamber orchestras such as I Musici of Montreal, Les Violons du Roy, and the Lamèque Festival Orchestra (NB).  Along with her activities as a performer, Stéphanie Bozzini teaches viola in the Department of Music at Concordia University in Montreal.
