Amanda Keesmaat

Baroque cellist Amanda Keesmaat, a graduate of Western and McGill universities, records and performs regularly with Les Voix Baroques, Arion Baroque Orchestra, La Nef, Clavecin en Concert, Les Idées Heureuses, Theatre of Early Music and Skye Consort.  A vibrant presence in the Montreal early music community for almost 15 years, Amanda has also toured across Canada, the United States and South America.
Amanda has often been a guest performer accompanying singers and instrumentalists at Ottawa Chamber Music Festival, Vancouver Early Music Festival, Montreal Baroque, Domaine Forget and Orford.  Amanda has also played with The Ottawa Baroque Consort, Les Boreades, Le Studio Musique Ancienne de Montreal, Pacific Baroque Orchestra and Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.
In recent years, Amanda has appeared on many recordings including the Juno award winning “Vivaldi et ses Anges” with Ensemble Caprice and Felix winning “La Traverse Miraculeuse" with La Nef and Les Charbonniers de l'Enfer.  Amanda has recorded for ATMA discs, XXI, Analekta, ombú, Fidelio, CBC radio and CBC television, BRAVO and Radio-Canada.
