As part of the complete Bach cantata series produced by Bourgie Hall, Arion presents four vivid cantatas that aptly illustrate the Leipzig cantor’s sublime ability to convey his faith in humanity redeemed through grace. To present these superb works to Montreal audiences, Arion is delighted to invite—for the first time in Canada—the Irish conductor Peter Whelan, “as exciting a live wire as Ireland has produced in the world of period performance” (The Irish Times).
