Philippe Martel started his musical studies at an early age with Les Petits Chanteurs de la Maîtrise de Québec. He has 2 bachelor degrees: the first one in Business Administration at Laval University and École Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen and the second in voice/performance at McGill University. As a soloist, Philippe has performed with many professionnal ensembles like the Studio de Musique Ancienne de Montréal, l'Ensemble Caprice, Chants Libres and many more. Recently, he sang a program of Bach Cantatas with Les Idées Heureuses, at Opéra de Montréal in the role of Jim Wright in the production of the opera JFK and with the MSO in Kurt Weill's Seven Deadly Sins.
